Job Description:/h3:
Our client is seeking a hands on Financial Controller with good system knowledge and Excel skill (not just basic skills) with strong financial modeling experience to include data dashboard design.
This is a individual contributor role and will not have any direct report
Only local candidates from food /CPG industry.
Reporting to Director of Finance/IT, the Financial Controller manages the Companys annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and long:term strategic planning processes, operating plan variance analysis and oversees cash management banking, financial institutions and noteholders relationships. The position will be responsible to provide financial support including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making.
Build relationships with business partners to develop annual budget and rolling forecasts to analyze actual results against both.
Work with the leadership team to develop long:term strategic plan
Maintain overall awareness of company performance and direction to keep management informed of financial risk and opportunity.
Drive efficient processes for forecasting and budgeting of P and L components, including Revenue, Gross Margin, Operating Expenses, Cash, cost of sales, material usage, inventory, operational plan variances and add value to business partners.
Produce impactful management reporting and presentations for executives and other internal stakeholders. Reporting should be analysis:based and highly metric focused to illuminate emerging trends and issues.
Identify key business drivers and measurements, operational constraints, and integrate these into management reporting.
Dashboard reporting : drive the creation and publication of financial dashboards. Coordinate operational input from internal stakeholders.
Work with Supply Chain organization to facilitate activities, change, drive performance and creatively solve problems.
Create and maintain financial models to analyze revenue streams, potential business opportunities and various ROI analyses; Provide recommendations to management to improve performance, and help to understand any other financial Supply Chain metric(s)
Build, streamline and continuously improve Product P and L process.
Reviews and drives improvements in cash management, ensuring financial obligations are met.
Forecasts, monitors and tracks cash flow; Identifies and evaluates cash flow variances.
Support efforts for system implementations, report redesign and process improvements.
Adeptly utilize financial software and systems for data query and reporting to develop high quality analysis.
Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support decision:making.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required (resume should reflect all as part of job description and not just in summary):
:8 years of experience in financial analysis
:5+ years of financial modeling experience
:Experience in
manufacturing/supply chain management, specifically food /CPG
:Strong FA and P background
:Advanced Excel skills
Technical Skills
:Strong PC skills including advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
:Hands:on use of ERP system, preferably for cost development and manufacturing accounting. Great Plains experience a significant plus.
:Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
