This position will support the Vice President of Capital Markets by providing crucial pricing intelligence, support and margin management for both the Retail and Wholesale channels. The Secondary Marketing Pricing Manager will work with internal and external counterparties to improve pricing and margin management, as well as providing analytical support and reporting of lock profitability, competitor pricing, trade profitability, and trade reconciliation. Essential Duties Provide strategic support to the VP of Capital Markets through competitive analysis on pricing, interest rate distribution, and margin management. Maintain Optimal Blue product and pricing eligibility engine and wholesale rate sheets. Routinely provide margin and competitive analysis to senior management, regional managers, and account executives. Solicit feedback from sales management to determine specific pricing needs. Maintain business relationships and senior managers, account executives, loan officers, and investors for the purposes of margin and pricing management. Analyze secondary market whole loan sales to FNMA, GNMA and correspondent investors to determine final margin against expected margin. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of conventional, FHA, USDA and VA mortgage products, or mortgage processing, guidelines and originating systems including pricing, buying, selling loans and locking loan rates Ability to analyze data, extrapolate meaning and report on it Exceptional Excel skills SQL skills preferred Strong attention to detail Project management skills Experience developing and monitoring performance metrics Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Comfortable and professional managing product and volume swings Clear commitment to information system utilization and identification of enhancements Demonstrated commitment to process improvement and creating alternatives Must be a motivated self-starter Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance or related field) and two (2) to five (5) years of experience in pricing and/or product development or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Experience using and managing a third-party product and pricing eligibility engine (ex: Optimal Blue) Meaningful experience with multiple counterparties, multiple loan products, loan execution strategies and servicing transfers Retail and Wholesale mortgage banking experience preferred This position will support the Vice President of Capital Markets by providing crucial pricing intelligence, support and margin management for both the Retail and Wholesale channels.
