Job Description:/h3:
Our client is looking for a strong hands:on leader to join our Finance Team as the Director, / Senior Director of Revenue Assurance Operations reporting directly to the VP, Controller. You will lead revenue recognition policy, processes and reporting, deal:related finance and accounting support for a rapidly growing technology company. This position will lead monthly and quarterly close activities for revenue, manage the validation and reconciliation of all revenue related accounts, analyze data, and prepare reports for auditors and management. We are looking for a high:energy, hands:on individual that has the ability to work independently providing advanced technical accounting expertise in support of the companys revenue drivers and initiatives.
Key responsibilities include the following:

:
Review software revenue arrangements to ensure compliance with customer and revenue recognition policies and procedures. Work closely with sales and operational teams to efficiently process and monitor customer contracts and subscriptions
:Provide technical accounting expertise on the treatment of revenue and cost of revenue transactions and related financial reporting requirements
:Lead the implementation of ASC 606
:
Establish and maintain appropriate revenue policies and procedures and ensure compliance with software revenue recognition rules, including proper recognition under the Revenue Arrangements with Multiple Deliverables standard
:
Manage the monthly revenue and cost of revenue close process (calendar, reviews, reconciliations, reporting) and maintain revenue and cost of revenue metrics, reports and reconciliations
:
Prepare revenue technical memos and be a key interface with the Companys external auditors.
:
Drive to continuously improve the revenue reporting process
:
Lead, mentor, and develop the technical skills of a team of revenue analysts, billing and collection specialists
:
Partner with sales, operations and legal teams to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment for all new product and service introductions, new pricing and promotional models, and new go:to:market strategies.
:
Develop and maintain appropriate internal controls, collaborating with external auditors as required.
:
Lead projects related to financial systems and business processes including implementing an automated commissions system, be a change agent for implementing new ideas and process improvements in an increasingly complex environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
:
BA or BS in finance or accounting; MBA preferred.
:
CPA and big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
:
10+ years of relevant experience in revenue and managing teams; experience supporting sales operations highly desired.
:
Strong working knowledge and extensive experience in the practical application of revenue recognition guidance.
:
Strong knowledge of SAAS business model and software revenue recognition experience at a successful public technology company is desired.
:
Strong leader with exceptional interpersonal skills who invests in the growth and development of people, team members and relationships
:
Demonstrated ability to take ownership for projects and drive to completion.
:
Experience in a fast changing, fast:paced multi:national company.

Demonstrated ability to effectively work with all levels and cross:functionally within the company, including Sales, Sales Operations, Professional Services and Customer Support, Legal, Business Development and Engineering
