Plucky, a consulting and coaching firm that supports leaders and people at the workplace, is hiring an assistant. Led by Jen Dary, Plucky is 4+ years old, run out of Jen’s home in Berkeley 3 days per week and has reached a moment of growth. Jen needs to scale her time as the business continues to grow. To start, this role will require 7–10 hours per month, paid at hourly rate commensurate with your experience. You'll work from home or coffee shops, meeting up in Berkeley in person every week or two.

In short, this role is emerging directly from the needs of scalability and prioritization… but there is enormous potential in this kind of hire for long-term career path. Plucky has a long trajectory ahead and will need an intentional, trusting, launchable team to make it happen!

In this role, you’ll be asked to:

Assist Jen (scheduling, booking travel, emailing clients, buying and sending client gifts, organizing mailing addresses for holiday/bday cards, sending holiday/bday cards, buying supplies, ordering Plucky merch, etc.)
Preparing client onsites (sending surveys and collecting data for upcoming workshops, booking travel, curriculum preparation, prepping follow-up content)
Assisting with So Now You’re a Manager trainings (helping to research cities, helping with ticket sales, making photocopies and prepping curriculum before the event, coordinating catering, helping onsite if the event is local to the Bay Area)
Assisting as Plucky’s online shop launches (preparing products for mailings, taking purchases to the post office, fielding customer support emails)
The right person for this role:

Sees potential in this role (both for now and in the future)
Learns to anticipate Plucky’s/Jen’s needs
Is driven, self-motivated, good with people and generally optimistic
Understands that the details matter (this is truly important to Plucky’s brand)
Has an eye for process, building rhythms and efficiency so we’re not always reinventing the wheel
Is local to Berkeley, CA (or able to meet up in Berkeley every week or two)
Is good with social media (FB/Twitter/IG) and open to learning new technologies as they emerge
Is good at printing mailing labels (YOU THINK I’M KIDDING, BUT I’M NOT! ;))
