All packaging, graphic art, and displays are designed in-house, allowing our unique branding to be seen in all aspects of our work. We're looking for a candidate with the right mix of creativity, technical capacity, and organizational discipline to help take our displays department to the next level.

Primary Duties
• Assist Lead Display Designer to achieve all goals of Displays Department
• Review shipments from manufacturers in Alameda Warehouse to ensure final product matches original PO
• Test and photograph display samples, suggesting design enhancements
• Organize and maintain Alameda Display Warehouse and assist shipping team to ensure displays are complete/updated upon leaving warehouse
• Assist sales, operations, and packing departments in Alameda Offices with logistical questions, including NetSuite organization
• Organize and track stock of all display components in internationally located warehouses
• Plan, design and coordinate realistic display layouts

Additional Duties/Bonus Skills

• Cover all display duties in the absence of Lead Display Designer
• Produce simple text-based graphic artwork (shelf talkers, sales sheets, etc) using Adobe Suite (will be taught to the right candidate)
• Bonus: Contribute to product development – concept brainstorming, product selection, component sizing, naming, copy writing, and art development
• Bonus: Intermediate Adobe Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop skills to assist Art Department display projects (no creation of original graphic content – collaging/re-arranging existing graphics)

Job Requirements

• Intermediate SolidWorks ability – part and assembly building
- Designing new displays, components, and products
- Modeling existing parts, such as samples from manufacturers or clients
- Use existing SolidWorks library of theBalm products to rapidly create planogram options
- Knowledge of graphic inclusion in SolidWorks is a bonus – will be taught to the right candidate
- No analytics tools necessary
• Novice to Advance experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Create text-based graphic artwork
- Ability to collage and re-arranging existing graphic artwork is a significant bonus, not necessary
• High-Level organizational skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are a significant bonus
- Will be responsible for tracking hundreds of display components across multiple international manufacturers, warehouses, and accounts
- Both in-person organization and computer-based stock tracking
- Experience with NetSuite is a bonus – will be taught to the right candidate
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve quickly are necessary
- Ability to create and teach organizational systems to sales, operations, and packing departments
- Ability to present creative ideas to all levels of theBalm employees (including CEO)
