Sid Simone, Inc is hiring a Catering Logistics Coordinator to assist a lucrative, family-owned catering company. The company caters 30-100 events per month. You will build events from the ground up to showcase their food at private, public, and corporate functions. This role will report to the Logistics Manager, and will contribute to a team of 3 Logistic Coordinators.

About the Position: 3 Months to Permanent + Benefits

Projected Contract Date: March 2018-May 2018; seeking permanent staff

Hours: 20-30 hours per week

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm; some flexibility in the hours; have flexibility to work on Saturdays

Compensation: $16 per hour for the first 3 months

Compensation Upon Hire: Up to $22 per hour (DOE) + benefits

Interview Process: You must be available for video and live interview

Education, Qualifications and Skills

21+ years or older; HS Diploma required
2+ years of catering and serving experience required
1 year of customer service in food/serving environment
ServSafe and Alcohol certification required before assuming position
Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
Reliable transportation, Driver's License & insurance required
Smartphone with text, video, email, and web capabilities required
Skills and Personality

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel required
Familiarity with POS system preferred
Attention to detail, cleanliness (personal and workspace)
Must work well with a team and take instruction and criticism from managers
Strong knowledge of the industry; more willingness to learn and grow with company
Attendance — must be able to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record
Holiday work — must be able to work holidays when needed
Position requires infrequent kneeling, bending, sitting, standing, lifting; driving, moving in and out of a vehicle; carrying multiple boxes, banners, moving tables
Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:

Review the day's schedule and pull inventory for deliveries
Deliver food to clients, utilizing personal or company vehicle
Track inventory and stock kitchen using POS system
Light preparation and cleaning of food and kitchen materials
Food safety including testing temperature of food at specific intervals
Create tables capes for private client events
