Responsibilities Develops and oversees the implementation of academic assessment at the SMC in ways that support the College's mission, heritage, values, and strategic initiatives. Coordinates core curriculum assessment and supports degree-level learning outcomes assessment; facilitates discussions of assessment and research findings with key constituencies; provides consulting support to academic departments and programs in their assessment, program evaluation, and accreditation efforts; and provides workshops and other educational opportunities for faculty and staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in the area of educational effectiveness. Provides support for accreditation activities across campus, including preparation for WASC accreditation. Experience and Qualifications Education: Required: Masters Preferred: Doctorate Experience: 3+ years Skills/Abilities: Competency with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Familiarity with statistical software packages like SPSS or SAS. Familiarity with e-portfolio platforms (eg Taskstream LAT, or Activity Insight). Familiarity with data base management tools.
