Maxim Healthcare is seeking Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses to work throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area. Our nurses provide care to a diverse group of students who are medically fragile, as well as the general population. We have a very diverse case load, including diabetic management, seizure precaution and G-Tube feedings working with children ages 2 to 18. After being trained with one of our experienced clinical supervisors, our nurses will be well versed in the following skills: carbohydrate counts, knowledge of hyper/hypoglycemia, insulin pump, following physician's orders, gastronomytube care, tracheotomycare (placing and suctioning), and total care (wheelchair bound students, nonverbal, catheters). Our office has immediate openings for both part-time and full-time cases. Typical hours are anywhere from 7:00 AM 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. But there are opportunities for you to work a few hours per day, or a few days per week. Due to the nature of school nursing, our nurses have the luxury of never having to work nights, weekends or holidays. Qualifications Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state in which the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) practices. Full command, verbal and written, of the English language. Current Health Certificate (per facility). Current PPD or Chest X-Ray. One year prior Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) experience preferred. Current CPR and BLS card.
