As a Business Analyst, you will be a core part of an agile and passionate team charged with developing, incubating, and launching a portfolio of businesses that:

  • Embrace key megatrends, disruptive technologies, and business models;

  • Are collectively capable of generating ~$400+ million in revenue during the next 10 years; and

  • Leverage the privileged assets, resources, and distinctive capabilities of AAA.

Who you are

You are a strategic thinker, with a passion for identifying and solving problems related to the connected home and the internet of things. You lead large analytic projects to support a fast-paced, agile development process as well as supporting projects of extended duration to guide strategic business decisions. You are a collaborator, eager to work with your peers in the development of potential solutions and supporting business cases and revenue models.

What you ll do

Support a collaborative effort to identify, scope, pilot and launch new businesses, products and services. Assist strategic leadership on the following stages of business development:

  • Discovery. Contribute to the development of theses based on your own insights and the contributions of internal and external subject matter experts and advisors. Your theses will help to determine the investigation and resource decisions of the team and assist in identifying new market opportunities and the resulting products and services we pursue.

  • Investigate and Scope. Assess connected home product or service s viability, market fit, market size and market accessibility. Define the competitive set and market landscape for a potential new product or service.

  • Economic and Social Rationale. Help build and support all aspects business cases, including financial models, business model and prototypes, to pilot a new product or service.

  • Charter and Model. Contribute to the definition, scoping, planning and preparation of the business opportunity for launch, including the capital and human resources required, key stakeholders, measures of success and the insights expected at the various stages.

  • Pilot. Test the business opportunity; validate the assumptions and value propositions. Refine the business plan based on the experiential learning, metrics and other sources of insight gained during pilots.

  • Production and Launch. Support the transition of the business to entrepreneurs-in-residence. Help secure the strategic relationships, stakeholders and human resources required to scale the business.

What you ve done.

Ideally, you will have the experience in the following areas that demonstrates your creativity and ability to collaborate and support projects at A3V:

  • Contextual Insight. Developed a deep understanding of disruptive innovation in personal connected devices and wearables, and the key megatrends and forces affecting the business spaces relevant to AAA, such as mobility, home, leisure/travel, insurance and financial services.

  • Market Research. Market research experience, both quantitative and qualitative.

  • Strategy Consulting and Business Development. Consulting experience focused on the identification of valuable problems to solve, creative ideation and development of new business opportunities.

  • Product or Business Development. Managing the development of new businesses, products or services through an agile development process, from ideation through launch.

  • You have excellent business writing skills and financial acumen.

  • You have a bachelor s degree and preferably an MBA.
