Job Description:/h3:
POSITION SUMMARY: This leadership position is responsible for managing and directing a group of product
development/engineering resources. Success criteria include: Provide technical direction and task assignments to team members, while maintaining hand:on style and ability to complete projects; Apply rigorous project management disciplines to development projects; Partner with regulatory, manufacturing, quality, sales/marketing to timely introduce new products to the market; Manage, develop, and motivate a diverse group of engineers to achieve optimal productivity.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10 years experience, in a manufacturing, preferably in a medical device environment, or complicated hardware products, including successful leadership of a diverse staff. A minimum of 7 years of progressive product
development/management responsibility in the medical device or related field. Strong leadership experience and ability. Provide leadership and transnational management for teams who may be located across multiple geographies. Ability to effectively manage workforce, resource, and cross functional teams. Demonstrated results in dynamic environment and multiple priorities. Demonstrated teamwork abilities and hands:on style. Proven history of completing product road map from inception to commercialization. Ability to work effectively with clients to resolve client and business issues. Global management of clinical projects/programs, including deliverables from all functional areas and vendors in accordance with tight timelines and high quality. Critical thinking and analytical skills, to focus on the most important product features, and provide root cause analysis and mitigation direction for the team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations. Ability to see big pictures while attending to critical details. Can:do attitude, hands:on required. Demonstrated expertise in establishment and management of related policies, procedures and systems.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience required. Masters degree preferred.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Knowledge of Product Development Cycle, ISO, System Engineering, Project and Product Management
Domestic and International travel as required
