Position Overview

Roofstock is looking for a Manager/Director of Human Resources. The ideal candidate is a multi-tool player that can lead our people initiatives and source top-tier talent. The position will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining our Human Resources processes and procedures for people operations and talent acquisition. The position will have contact with senior-level Executives, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop, implement and manage the full recruiting lifecycle, from the recruiting process and strategy to sourcing, scheduling, screening and interviewing candidates, facilitating salary negotiations and processing necessary documentation to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Manage the employee onboarding, orientation and exit process, ensuring each hire has a seamless onboarding, orientation and experience at Roofstock.
  • Develop, implement and manage innovative, efficient, and scalable people programs, including learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, interview training, employment branding, culture assessments, employee retention, etc.
  • Create and measure key metrics for the people programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all EEO, employment, benefits, payroll and wage-hour Laws.
  • Collaborate and manage the external Human Resource Consultants to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Human Resource system management.
  • Oversee all Human Resource related vendor relationships, regularly evaluating cost and effectiveness.
  • Responds to inquiries from the VP Finance and HR and other executives regarding Human Resource matters.
Experience and Education Guidelines
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development.
  • 8+ years of total HR experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a partner/leader in People Operations/Human Resources, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, benefits, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
  • Tech and real estate industry experience is preferred.
  • Must be Mac or PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Experience with the newest generation of HRIS.
