The Receipt Manager is responsible for ensuring that total receipts flowing to stores are achieved by product level for both the Ross and dd's Chains. Total receipts are made up from a combination of product that is shipped directly from the vendor and product that is allocated from the hotel area of the Distribution Center. Hotel are items that are stored in the Distribution Center for release in a specified month.
The Receipt Manager will lead a team that is responsible for the execution and analysis of selecting hotel items for allocation. They are accountable for his/her team's objectives that include daily receipt target achievement, managing unique hotel business strategies, and driving analytics to support key initiatives. He/she must independently translate broad hotel strategies from business partners into actions for his/her team. The Receipt Manager works with his/her team to identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve existing processes. They supervise the work of his/her direct reports and holds them accountable for achieving assigned goals. He/she is responsible for the development of their analysts through providing coaching, feedback, and training.
Hotel Management
  • Lead and support the management of hotel processes, establish hotel goal achievement expectations, assess results, and validate they align with the strategy
  • Collaborate with business partners on the development of product level hotel strategies for assortment initiatives
  • Facilitate the use of key reporting tools, and communication processes
  • Manage the execution of product level analytics that supports the business; determine resources needed and establish timelines
  • Drive improvements to the Hotel Management process, recommend creative solutions and challenge current approaches
  • Align the workload of his/her team to achieve hotel goals, and ensure their focus is on activities that add business value

  • Collaborate with business partners within the department to ensure key strategies and objectives are achieved
  • Ensure strategies and hotel goals are clearly communicated to direct reports and business partners
  • Provide leadership with visibility and status updates on all strategic initiatives across business areas
  • Keep direct reports informed on business direction, strategies, goals and objectives

People Management

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • High level knowledge of all Allocation concepts
  • 2-5 years of experience in an Allocations/Planning role
  • 1-3 years of experience managing people
  • High level of analytic skills and business acumen
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites with advanced Excel skills

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
