Job Summary
The Clinical Supervisor/Family Therapist is responsible for clinical oversight of Mental Health Therapists and Behavioral Specialists, and supports the mental health clinical team in providing an interdisciplinary treatment program addressing the needs of children 0:6 and their caretakers in home:based, clinic:based and preschool settings.
Duties and Responsibilities
:Work effectively with clinically diverse staff utilizing different approaches to similar issues.
:Clinically and administratively supervise
unlicensed/licensed clinicians and behavioral specialists.
:Assist in planning, directing and evaluating the clinical activities of the Mental Health team.
:Work closely and collaboratively with Preschool, Developmental and Wrap Programs to ensure continuity and integration of cultures.
:Maintain presence at School site on a weekly basis.
:Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, family members, the public and representatives of other agencies and organizations.
:Maintain clinical records and prepare related reports as requested.
:Provide Early Intervention Services to children age 0:6 and their families.
:Assign and coordinate cases on Wait List.
:Participate in Utilization Review as needed.
:Provide and participate in trainings and team meetings as necessary.
:Provide program development and marketing in the community.
:Provide clinical evaluation of assigned staff to the Mental Health Director.
:Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
:Clinical supervision experience preferred
:Familiarity with relationship:based models of work
:Some experience with reflective facilitation and practice
:Background in early childhood mental health, crisis intervention, family engagement
:Commitment to cultural humility and experience working with diverse populations
:Excellent listening skills, as well as verbal and written communications skills
:Comprehensive knowledge of ethical considerations involved in the practice of early childhood mental health programs
:Experience and considerable skill in clinical documentation, preferably in EPSDT note:writing and treatment plan development
:Detail orientation, with ability to ensure quality and accuracy of records
:A working knowledge of community resources and support networks
Minimum Qualifications:
:Masters, PhD, or Psy.D in related clinical field
:CA licensed as a MFT, LCSW, or Psychologist
