Cal Bears Sports Properties (CBSP) is the multimedia rights holder and sports marketing arm for athletics at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to the radio broadcast programming for California, CBSP has exclusive rights for corporate sales of advertising, event sponsorship, game promotion, signage, publications, athletic trademarks and logos, cross:retail promotions, and overall marketing partnerships. CBSP is looking to fill the position of a Property Assistant; the individual will assist CBSPA?s sales and activation departments with the execution of partnership accounts, specifically at California home Football games. This position reports to the Coordinator, Partnership Services and will require anywhere from 8:18 hours per week. Coordination of promotional and game day activations, including execution of client promotions and corporate hospitality functionsAssist with sponsor activation and corporate hospitality at Tailgate Town, prior to all Cal home football gamesVarious game day event management (pre:game, in:game, and post:game) responsibilitiesWork in tandem with the California marketing and promotions department as well as CBSP sales and activation staff each week Assist the Coordinator, Partnership Services and Manager, Partnership Services with tracking and implementation of new inventory for the football and basketball seasons (signage, tickets, digital ads, print)Assist the Coordinator, Partnership Services and Manager, Partnership Services with recaps and proof of performance for partners Assist the sales staff with client pitches, proposals, and marketing plans utilizing PowerPoint, Digideck, Excel, etc., for new and renewal clientsWork with the Coordinator, Partnership Services and Manager, Partnership Services throughout the year to create partnership recaps/year:in:review presentations for all CBSP corporate sponsorsLead role on corporate partnership monthly newsletter projectAssist with implementation of the Cal Athletics Pup Club Other duties as assigned Searching for an in office Property Assist, who would work 10 hours during the week + football gamedays Mandatory to work all six (6) Cal home football games Approximately 8:18 hours per week (including game days)Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekendsIndividual will report to the Coordinator, Partnership Services and CBSP Executive DirectorPrior experience with a sports organization, sponsorship or event planning/activation is prefferedAcademic curriculum in sports business, operations, marketing, management, etc. is preferredExperience in a Customer Service, Sales, or Marketing related role is preferredCandidate will need to have a means of transportation (CTA, personal vehicle, etc.) to CBSP offices in Berkeley, CAOther critical characteristics include the ability to:Perform assigned duties with limited supervisionManage various projects at the same timeCommunicate effectivelyInitiate and cultivate relationshipsPlan, organize and prioritize workPay attention to detail and maintain a positive attitudeMaintain professionalism, especially while meeting and greeting with corporate partners Work long hours and be on your feet for extended periods of time on game daysLift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 50lbs. may be required at times Knowledge in Excel, Power Point, Photoshop and Outlook is strongly preferred
