Oversee the collective coordination of all event information and resources, and be responsible for account management, sales prospecting and business development. Key activities will include customer relationship management, communications, event planning and coordination, market research, sales prospecting, public relations, logistics oversight and revenue management. Main point-of-contact for all customer inquiries and event details. Prepare proposals for clients and maintain well-organized event records. Meet with clients regularly, conducting tours of the event facility. Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners, and leverage these relationships to ensure total customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue. Provide accurate and timely information to clients, vendors, and meeting planners. Proactively communicate event information, and set clear expectations for event delivery. Use computerized sales management system to manage business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts. Prepare detailed event reports, including sales data worksheets, cost projections and other financial metrics. Analyze and reconcile disparate event details, and consolidate the information into actionable event plans.

Requirements: We are looking for high-energy and creative individuals who possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have outstanding customer relationship management and communication skills and be polished and articulate. Ability to work well under pressure, able to manage multiple activities simultaneously, and re-prioritize efforts when plans change or the need arises. Individuals interested in pursuing this position should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent; a bachelor’s degree and/or Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification are preferred. In addition, three to five years of experience in organizing and managing events, including corporate meetings, trainings, luncheons, weddings, and other special occasions is desired.
