RDS is seeking a Designer : Floater for our Livermore and Fairfield showrooms. The Designer will float between both showrooms and will utilize their sales experience and expertise along with their design skills. Will have the business savviness to incorporate the use of psychology, business and marketing abilities within a creative, versatile and revenue driven manner. Looking for an exemplary team player to join our Design Center Sales Team.

Key elements for this position:

Develop a positive, trustworthy and dependable relationship with builder personnel, particularly Sales Agents and Superintendents.

Educate the Sales Agent on the attributes of upgrading; sell our design expertise, our commitment to

meeting the needs and concerns of the homebuyer, and ultimately respecting the homebuyers budget and the builders time constraints when selecting products.

Know the city and community of Simi Valley inside and out; be the community expert.

Analyze your community sales; seek creative ways for solving sales challenges.

Attend all community events; openings, phase releases, model walks, invite Sales Agent for a Launch Meeting and Mock appointment.

Walk Models: take pictures of specs, transitions, stairs, window coverings, counters, appliances, showers, backsplashes, etc.

Create a Practically

Participate in the RDS New Community Kick:Off Meeting.

Analyze Phase by phase success: brainstorm for ideas to improve.

Be so remarkable and efficient that you are the requested designer on future projects

Represent RDS with a high standard; positively, pleasantly and professionally.

Engage in Pre:Appointment Phone Call with every homebuyer.

Continually improve sales education. Maximize each sale.

Strive for a 100 capture at all communities in all phases for both flooring and 70 for windows.

What we need from you:

Excellent phone etiquette

Excellent written and verbal communication skills


High level of professionalism

Excellent time Management skills

Ability to work well under deadline requirements

Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Able to work with minimum supervision

Should be customer service driven

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Able to multi:task

Positive and friendly attitude
