Job Description PHILCO AIR CONTROL, INC. Position Title: HVAC Installer Location: Concord (94518) + Contra Costa area Overview of typical duties: HVAC Installers are responsible for performing new installations of a variety of heating and air conditioning equipment. Full Cut Ins or Change-outs of Commercial Gas Package Units, Heat Pumps, Split Systems, Mini Splits, Fresh Air Units, Exhaust Fans, and Title 24 flex duct systems, spiral duct systems, high velocity lines, minor sheet metal fabrication, and more. Installations need to be performed up to current codes and be completed in a timely manner. Lead Installers needs to be able to read blueprints accurately and be familiar with current codes. Responsibilities: The HVAC Installer duties typically include and without limitation: Performs Installations on a variety of heating and cooling equipment. Working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods Checks in with Supervisor on a daily basis regarding install progress and daily schedule. Schedules Inspections, Cranes, Material Delivery for Installations Picks up and delivers materials to jobsites as needed during installations. Perform Maintenances when not performing installations. Install air filters on various types of equipment on a quarterly basis. Check components for potential breakdowns and recommend needed repairs. Clean evaporator and condenser coils as needed using water and chemicals. Complete Maintenance form on each unit during maintenance per season requirements. Email all maintenance forms on completion to Supervisor for review at end of day. Obtain pricing and submit quotes for any written recommendations found Fill out timesheets/billing forms are filled out entirely and correctly. Communicate with Supervisor regarding any questions/concerns regarding job duties. Always practice safe working habits and report any work hazards to Supervisor Immediately. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Maintain the care and upkeep of equipment and tools. Properly follow company and CAL/OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of Supervisor and HR Manager. Possess excellent communication skills to communicate with tenants on a daily basis. Provide excellent customer service. Maintain required work records which includes, filling out accurate timesheets daily for each property, logging in the hours of work. Consistent and high quality work performance. Maintain professionalism at all times. Maintain integrity with company property and time. Report to work regularly and on time. Take direction and respond cooperatively to supervision. Comply with all company rules and regulations stated in the Philco Air Control Inc. handbook. All other duties assigned. Job-Related Experience: 3-5 years HVAC Installation Experience preferred. Additional training and/or HVAC certifications highly desired. Hours and Days of Work: Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday.
