As we mentioned last month, Strokeland Records artist Tony Adamo is releasing a cover song from the Eastbay's own “Tower Of Power”. Tony and record producer/guitarist Jerry Stucker, have dusted off the classic “This Time It’s Real”, and added their own “take” to the song.
“This Time It’s Real” is the first song from a new CD (Untitled) to be released by Tony Adamo in 2010. It will soon be released for airplay, but you can hear it here first, at HornDrivenRadio.com. We currently have this new offering in our rotation, and it will play three times in our nearly nine hour rotation. Guitarist/producer Jerry Stucker brought in R&B/Soul -legend drummer, James Gadson (Bill Withers, Herbie Hancock and Quincy Jones),The organist Neil Larson (Gregg Allman, B.B. King, Whitney Houston), and Reggie McBride on bass (Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau, Keb’Mo’) to record the rhythm tracks on the song. The horn section is made up of current Tower Of Power members Doc Kupka, Tom Politzer and returning member Mic Gillette. For more information on Tony Adamo, please visit Tony at www.strokeland.com Posted by Raoul Fernandes |

We are looking for a new drummer.
Our last drummer was great, but cannot play any longer due to an injury. We are a blackened thrash/black n roll band. Influences: NWOBHM, Carpathian Forest, Rainbow, Desaster, Celtic Frost, Exodus, Discharge, Motorhead, Heathen, Dr Know, Rampage Radio KUSF. We gig about once a month and practice once or twice a week at most. We currently have a studio that we share with another band in SF. We're about to release a single and plan to finish recording an album early next year. As for us, we are old, hard working professionals during the day with families to support. At night we are polar opposites and like to raise hell. Must be RESPONSIBLE, have transportation, be somewhat employed or at least be able to afford rent, be over 21, and most of all be cool. This is for all the bands looking for a drummer as well as all the bands looking for a bassist.
I am a guitar player who has landed possibly THE best bassist in the whole region. This guy is like Cliff Burton and Ryan Martini rolled into one. With very inpressive gear. I also have landed a prodigy on the drums. This guy shreds his 9 piece drum kit in the style of Danny Carey. Also, a very nice kit. Together, we own a private studio, Massive PA system (enough to thump 3000 people in the chest with kick drum), Lighting rig, 24 channel live board & outboard gear. Now to my point..... All of you singers out there still looking for a bassist and/or drummer to complete your band, take one day to come try out for something that is rolling pretty well all ready. We are working with a label, and have everything at our disposal to put on our OWN SHOWS. Imagine not having to deal with the venues! We call the shots! We can go anywhere we want....set up....and put on a fully functional rock show. We have sooo much to offer. Send us a demo, if we dig it, come out to our studio (not SRS or HOH, an actual private studio) on your day off from your bands practice and see if the vibe is there. Time to make a career choice guys. There is a lot of talent out there, it just needs to be organized better. This is a great opportunity for the open minded. Please send a demo with a note telling us your age and a little background about yourself. Thanks a lot guys!! • Location: Sacramento
